Copyright, Sources and Corrections

Effective date: September 16, 2026

Size It Up Party is an independent visual size-estimation game operated by size it up party. This page explains the ownership of original game material, how third-party facts and permitted assets are handled, how measurement sources are selected, and how to report a copyright, permission, attribution, or factual concern.

Size It Up Party is not the official, authorized, sponsored, or affiliated version of another size-comparison game unless an affiliation is expressly stated and supported. The game is inspired by the broad human challenge of comparing scale, but its code, interface, scoring presentation, puzzle selection, written explanations, and original visuals are independently created.

Original game material

Original material may include the game code, page layouts, interaction design, scoring implementation, puzzle selection and arrangement, editorial qualifiers, facts written in our own language, result presentation, branding, and original visual assets. This material is owned by the operator or used under an applicable agreement.

Access to the website does not transfer ownership. You may use the game for personal play and share the result text or image generated for your own completed session. You may not copy or redistribute a substantial portion of the puzzle database, original graphics, interface, written content, or code without permission or another valid legal basis.

General ideas, rules, mathematical relationships, and facts may not be owned in the same way as original expression. This page does not claim exclusive ownership over the concept of comparing object sizes, over a measurement fact, or over a commonly used game mechanic. It does protect the original way those elements are selected, arranged, expressed, illustrated, and implemented where applicable.

Silhouettes and visual assets

The game uses silhouettes and supporting visual assets to present comparisons. Assets must be original, commissioned, generated under terms that permit the intended use, or obtained from a source with a compatible license. Each production asset should have an internal record identifying its origin, creator or source, license or permission basis, modification status, and required attribution.

An asset is not approved merely because it can be downloaded, appears in search results, lacks a visible watermark, or is described as “free.” Before use, the permission must cover the intended commercial or public website context, modifications when needed, and distribution as part of the game.

We avoid copying another game’s distinctive visual presentation, specific silhouettes, color system, cards, animations, sounds, puzzle order, or interface text. Where a real-world object has a recognizable shape, our aim is to create or lawfully use an independent representation rather than trace another project’s artwork.

Third-party trademarks and trade dress remain the property of their owners. An object name may be used when reasonably necessary to identify what is being measured. That factual identification does not imply sponsorship. We avoid using logos or branded decorative assets when a neutral silhouette and accurate descriptive name are sufficient.

Measurement facts and sources

Real-world measurements are facts selected for a defined game comparison. A published puzzle identifies the measurement dimension, normalized value, display units, source, access date, and relevant qualifier. Height, length, width, diameter, wingspan, and other measurements are not interchangeable, so the dimension must match for both objects in a puzzle.

Source quality depends on the object. A manufacturer specification may be appropriate for a named product model. A public institution or maintained database may be appropriate for a landmark or natural object. A credible reference work may be appropriate when no single manufacturer or owner exists. We prefer sources that clearly define the measured object and dimension.

A citation supports the factual basis for the reveal. It does not mean that the source sponsors, endorses, operates, or has reviewed Size It Up Party. We do not reproduce a source’s photographs, charts, diagrams, database structure, or substantial text merely to prove a measurement. Facts are summarized in original wording and linked where appropriate.

Why two sources may disagree

Two apparently reliable values can describe different things. Animals vary by specimen and age. Trees vary by individual. Products vary by model or configuration. Aircraft can be compared by fuselage length or wingspan. Ships can have overall, waterline, or registered dimensions. Buildings can be measured to a roof, architectural top, antenna, or occupied floor.

A correction therefore requires a like-for-like comparison. A different valid measurement is not automatically evidence that the displayed value is wrong. We review the named object, dimension, qualifier, unit conversion, source date, and editorial context before making a decision.

Where variation is expected, the reveal may use a typical, documented, maximum, or model-specific value and state that choice. The game does not claim that every example has exactly the displayed size. If a qualifier cannot make the comparison sufficiently clear, the puzzle may be revised or withdrawn.

Corrections and withdrawals

Sources can change, move, or become unavailable. A specification may be corrected. A record may be superseded. An asset permission may expire or prove unclear. When credible evidence raises a concern, we may replace the source, update the qualifier, correct the normalized value, replace an asset, publish a new puzzle version, or withdraw the puzzle.

Previously completed Daily results should remain tied to the puzzle and scoring rules used when they were revealed. We do not combine incompatible puzzle versions into one result. A withdrawn puzzle should not continue to be selected for future Daily or Unlimited play until the issue is resolved.

Corrections are intended to improve the game, not conceal uncertainty. A source-backed comparison can still involve editorial judgment about which documented dimension best serves a fair visual puzzle. We welcome specific reports that help distinguish a real error from a difference in definition.

Reporting a measurement or source concern

Email [email protected] and include:

  • the puzzle or object name;
  • the measurement dimension shown in the game;
  • the displayed or disputed value, if known;
  • the value you believe should be used;
  • a reliable public source link;
  • a short explanation of why the definitions match.

Please do not send a screenshot without enough context to identify the original source. A direct public reference, document title, record name, or manufacturer specification is more useful. We may ask for clarification when the compared values describe different models, specimens, or dimensions.

Submitting a report does not guarantee a particular result. We may keep the current value, add a qualifier, replace a source, update the puzzle, or withdraw it. We aim to evaluate credible reports consistently and preserve a useful record of significant corrections.

Reporting a copyright, attribution, or permission concern

If you believe an asset or text on the site infringes your rights, uses an incorrect attribution, exceeds a license, or should be removed, email [email protected]. Include enough information for us to identify and review the material:

  • the page, puzzle, object, or asset concerned;
  • a clear description of the issue;
  • the location of the original or authorized material;
  • your relationship to the material or authority to act, when relevant;
  • the correction or action you are requesting;
  • a reliable way to contact you.

Do not send passwords, government identification, financial details, or unrelated sensitive information. We may request limited additional information reasonably necessary to understand authority, ownership, license terms, or the specific material at issue.

We will review credible reports and may temporarily withdraw an asset while investigating. Possible outcomes include correction of an attribution, replacement of an asset, removal, restoration after confirming permission, or a response explaining why the reported material can remain.

This contact process is a practical reporting channel. The operator does not claim to be a registered copyright agent unless that status is expressly stated with current supporting information.

Permissions

For permission to reuse original Size It Up Party material beyond ordinary personal result sharing, contact [email protected]. Describe the material, intended use, audience, distribution method, whether the use is commercial, and any planned modifications. Permission is not granted unless confirmed in writing by an authorized representative.

Permission from Size It Up Party cannot grant rights in third-party facts, trademarks, or licensed assets owned by someone else. You are responsible for obtaining any additional permissions that apply to your intended use.

Linking and quoting

You may link to public pages. Limited quotation for commentary, reporting, or another lawful purpose may be permitted under applicable law, but context and amount matter. Do not use a link or short quotation to imply sponsorship, reproduce the substance of the game, or mislead people about the source.

When discussing a measurement revealed by the game, consider linking to the original cited source as well as the relevant Size It Up Party page. That helps readers distinguish the underlying fact from our selection, qualifier, and game presentation.
